Chancellor Meyer has cancelled classes for the afternoon. If you’re looking for something to do during Stout’s little Snowpocalypse, we have an idea!
Build a snowman somewhere on campus and send photos of it to email@example.com or upload them to Instagram with #UWStout. We’ll choose the best ones and post them here and on UW-Stout’s Instagram.
Bonus points if your snowman is Stout-themed.
Prior to Halloween, UW-Stout’s University Library hosts a student decorating contest on its front windows. Student organizations get the chance to work together to create a spooky decoration with their club’s own special twist.
On Friday, Oct. 30, the entries were judged by Chancellor Bob Meyer, Student Life Services Executive Director Scott Griesbach and Library Director Susan Lindahl. Each entry was judged on overall appearance, spookiness and best organization spirit.
The library staff also joined in the festivities by dressing up for their daily duties.
The winners of the third annual contest are:
- First Place: Psychology Club
- Spookiest: Hmong Stout Student Organization
- Best Org Spirit: Comic Creators
